No, I meant specifically viral emails, the kind of annoying stuff that turns up in your mailbox sent to you by people who barely know you who expect you to make copies of the picture they sent to you of [a smiling Obama dressed up in Arab garb, embracing some Bedouin chieftain, for example] and send them to 10 of your friends.
I realize you feel anything sympathetic to the Left is nonsense, but I was specifically referring to a certain kind of communication, not so much its ideological content.
Since I know many more liberals than I do conservatives, I can only conclude one reason why the viral email I get is so heavily partisan to the right: conservatives favor this kind of communication, and they are more likely to think it is effective in persuading and reinforcing others.
If I felt very strongly about something, I would not consider sending 10 emails out promoting my idea and requesting my recipients copy it 10 times and send it to their friends. I can't think of any better way of alienating people and turning them off to my opinions. But then again, I suppose that is a liberal way of looking at things. I prefer my hook to be more artfully concealed within the bait.
