100 million Americans
Hi, Larry!
Sure it could help that many, just not all at once. As we age, and our parts begin to wear out, we may be offered the option of regeneration or replacement with parts our bodies won't reject.
Anti-rejection medicines are nasty immuno-suppressants. Keep the organ, grow a tumor.
I can easily see how diseases and medical conditions caused by atrophy and deterioration can affect 100 million Americans now living, over time. Perhaps stem cell and cloning research can help them. The rest of us will probably be taken out by sudden stroke, car accidents, and bungee jumping gone horribly, horribly wrong.
Regards--
Mary Anne
