Economic enslavement - I don't know if you don't understand, or just wanted to hassle me about the term. Sort of like someone, I don't remember who, saying that "kleptocracy" wasn't a word? The old "company store" was an example of economic enslavement. In the US in the 20th century there were communities where the employer, stereo-typically a coal mine, owned everything, including housing and the store where people were required to purchase their necessities. The workers wages were about enough to break even, so they could never get away. (Tennessee Ernie Ford's "16 Tons" was before your time, but described the phenomenum."
Unrestricted capital does that - it has to be put to use, and naturally winds up owning things, growing and growing and owning more and more. Without some checks on it there will be the "company store", economic enslavement. Capital is also power over people, and as unrestricted capital grows, so does it's influence over folks.
Look at the kleptocracies. Bill Gates still owns too little of the total to be a good expample of what would happen eventually. His great-grandchildren, though, in my OPINION, could easily wind up owning your great-grandchildren if there isn't some way to redistribute capital. Even Gates sees that, and came out against abolishing the estate tax.
Capitalism is good, it's even great. And, not always and not unrestricted. Do you think that on a starship going for multiple generations there will be capitalism? Do you think that adequate medical care can be provided to everyone in emerging countries under capitalism? I don't.
And, I'm not going to change your mind on this. You won't change mine. Since you seem to be resistant to agreeint to disagree, we'll just have to disagree.
