Conceptually automatic citizenship is usually conferred by either

jus solis--born on the soil of the nation or jus sanguinis--born of the blood, citizenship comes through the blood of a parent.

Naturalization is an non-automatic process.

I don't think we want to change our Constitution if it is within the realm of possibility to not do so.
