Re: Poor choice

Dobbs is going to have his own head handed to him for daring to state that Islamic terrorists are specifically responsible for the attacks on our country. In a field where only about four percent of his colleagues are not liberals, he should have known better. He is of course, right. When McVeigh blew up a building, the liberals had no problem labeling white supremacists as the specific problem, and did not declare a general "war against building bombers."

...stunned viewers from Arab countries registering strong complaints.

How many "strong complaints" came from mainstream white America when McVeigh was accused, tried, and executed? With a few crackpot exceptions, we all thought he had it coming in spades, and most of us would have cheerfully shot the juice into his veins ourselves. Does anyone find it odd that "mainstream" Arabs are often defending the Islamic radicals?

The average liberal* is mentally unable to construct any view of a conflict wherein the West, or usually specifically America, is not the bad guy. Ever. Thank your local communist college teacher.

While maintaining this view was easier for them in cases like Viet Nam, or the Cold War, maintaining it in the face of the collapse of the WTC into flaming debris required an intellectual warpage that, from some of the writings I have seen in newspapers, has apparently caused portions of their brains to actually twist into another dimension.

In their view, no act of evil by someone other than America can be judged as such, because there is always a "balancing" act of evil somewhere in American history that officially "negates" such a judgement. Time and context mean nothing in this argument. We cannot judge terrorists for beheading a reporter because sometime in 1815, some white man cut the head off an Indian.

That this line of thinking could work against them is never realized. Europe killed off almost all its Jews. Does this give Israel a moral right to now drop a nuclear weapon on Berlin?

*All the liberals on this board are, like the children of Lake Wobegon, "above average" ;)
