Re: Get it together

The problem is not that all environmentalists are left-wing nihilists, or that all Democrats are socialist. That is obviously ridiculous. However, if you look at the leadership, the media representatives, and the people who set policy for the movement or the Party, the radicals suddenly begin to occupy a much larger percentage.

Again, look at the people who support these sites, or sign the statements. Many of them are famous, and well-respected in their fields. You can say a lot about Noam Chomsky, just to pick one, but you can't say he doesn't carry a lot of weight in liberal circles. Same is true for many others there.

Think about it. Who carries more influence in the mainstream? Leftist loonie Chomsky or right-wing loonie David Duke? Which of the two is respected, wins awards, and lectures at respected universities, and which is considered a crackpot by almost every last person in America?

Sure, there are right wing loonies. But the thing is almost everyone KNOWS they are loonies, which makes them less dangerous. The left wingers are considered the best and the brightest by the mainstream, and their socialist ideas are often admired and then adopted by our government and regulatory agencies. This makes them, in my opinion, the greater danger.

There is one heck of a lot better chance of the left getting America to adopt something like socialized medicine, than there is of the right getting America to install some crackpot theocracy.
