Conservatives invented everything. Civil Rights? Please. It took FDR, Truman, Kennedy, and then that Southerner, LBJ. (And, you're right. LBJ had to buy a lot of Republicans to get it past some people who were more Southerner than Democrat.) Eisenhower could have done something, the time had come. Lessee, what did he do? (Well, sit on my haunches!!! Squat!)

Social Security will be next? Worker's Compensation, and safety standards for workers. The ones which are too expensive, too much, too soon?

If Orville and Wilbur were Republican, you'd be claiming the airplane, too. Maybe they were, I don't know.

EVERYONE pays the price for the environmental messes. And our kids, and their kids. To say that the environmentalists don't have to worry about the price is silly. We all pay that price so the few can have dividends.

And, in spite of the mantra, too expensive, to much, too fast, the economy seems to keep going. Even after the too expensive, too much, too fast. Over, and over, and over. Again.

How about electricity? Alternating current? Television?
