Businessmen

Lessee. Another one of those charming, all-inclusive, erroneous extrapolations which pervade emotional arguments.

"And yeah, businessmen are all greedy, amoral sons of bitches who would kill their own grandmothers for an extra buck."

But now that you brought it up, have you watched any of the news programs lately? It ain't labor leaders who are being investigated and/or indicted. Enron, Tyco, etc., etc. Including Halliburton.

Over and over.

And these people weren't stealing and giving to the community. They weren't Robin Hoods, from what I can see. They weren't the traditional whipping boys of conservatives, labor leaders. They were businessmen, the leaders. "Kenny-boy", et al.

And you are always talking about communism as a flawed economic system. The Russian experiment failed, Reagan didn't drive it into extinction. It's hard to find something to credit Reagan with, ISS maybe, enormous deficits, too, so they have to try to give that one to him.

(Actually, Eisenhower did do something for Civil Rights. He had the Feds enforce the law, which was nice. Could have done more, though.)

Great way to start Sunday. I have low blood pressure, it usually takes a while to get fired up. I can watch Tony Snow and Brit Hume, who happen to be snottier than you and me put together, and that helps, too. Hope yours is an enjoyable day.
