Talking to doctors on a cruise they said 70% of there business was from smokers and alcohol related. If the two were nonexistent medical coverage would be affordable for everyone. Legalize all illegal drugs and we all will pay for it dearly.
Legalization or decrimilzation of illegal drugs is a bad idea. Many companies have incorporated drug testing as a standard policy for their employees and the results have proven to be successful for both the employees and the companies. Many employees are thankful that there company forced them to make the choice between being drug free or find work elsewhere. They feel better, are happier, show up every day for work, can make clearer/positive decisions, make less costly mistakes and have a more active life in general. If we legalize illegal drugs then we won't be able to perform drug testing for those drugs and marijuana albeit the mildest, is the most common drug used at the work place.
As far as alcohol, it's the number one drug killer. Legalize marijuana and you make two wrongs a right, not a good idea. Besides, why endorse the opportunity for someone to try marijuana because it's legal when they would not have tried it because it's illegal. Parents teaching there children to say no to drugs will work if we give it enough time. It may take many generations but there will be less demand for illegal drugs and that will lead to fewer dealers and fewer suppliers. Remember we are young in the use of drugs and are just now being better educated.
