I see. Thanks. I was thinking that "butt monkey" might have derived from "when monkeys fly outta my butt!", but I can see how it might describe a sycophant et al.
"Psycho Hose Beast" is interesting. From your description of its first use to describe a girlfriend, I figure the "hose beast" part refers to a nylon-wearing female. The way it's been generalized (and maybe merged with "hoser" or "hosed" as a pejorative) sounds like a classic case of etymological mutation.
