All this shows me is that sculptors should not be architects.

Does anyone have the slightest conception that these things are supposed to be inhabited? By human beings, with desks and copy machines? Would somebody buy these guys a straightedge? What's with the "dropped through a black hole by accident" look?

If some engineer could get the Foster and Partners thing to even stand up, I would be amazed. The "Think" piece is ridiculous. The Meier proposal would make the guys who want a lot of office space guys drool, but cripes, look at them. They squat on Manhattan like a Wal Mart in a yurt village.

Of all these, the Peterson design is probably best, although I find the "skinny spire to make it officially tall" trick a little irritating. I particularly like their proposal for the treatment of the memorial area.

Frankly, I don't see what I like here anywhere. I kind of liked this idea best, but the author doesn't have the artistic talent to pull it off. He needs to throw in the original WTC gothic theme to make the whole thing a modernized flying buttress design. Wish I had the time to model it.
