But ethnic cleansing is not an acceptable solution, no matter which rationale is invoked to justify it.
Yes, everybody would be safer if we just had more space, more land between us and our enemies. The big problem for Israel, and for your line of thinking, is that the more land they take, the more enemies they make. Israel could be just as safe, and maybe a whole lot safer, with less land and fewer enemies. If you defuse the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, you defuse the entire Islamic powderkeg. The Palestinian gripe these days, if I understand correctly, is the issue of the occupied territories, not the existance of Israel.
It think it likely that there are parties or interests in both camps which would like to see the unrest continue.
