Everyone on the block's already out for Israel's head. The last thing they need is a fifth column fighting them from within. Their current situation is untenable. If current demographics hold, then Israel will be swallowed up from within in another few decades. The Arabs living inside Israeli territory are reproducing at a rate far greater than the Jewish population. If this trend continues, then Israel could very well be voted out of existance.

BTW: They took the land because they were attacked first, not the other way around. And it was taken for just the reason I said, to give them a more defensible border.
