The monica Lewinsky flap, that occupied our nation for a year and polarized politics was not beating a dead horse because it was, what? An assortment of lies told about a consensual sexual affair between two adults?
But this- An assortment of lies told leading to the occupation of another country, the expenditure of dozens of american lives, thousands of Iraqi lives, billions of dollars and the practical dissolution of our most fundamental alliances- THIS is a dead horse.
