Classic example of the way Bush partisans dodge and weave and evade the issues. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Saddam Hussein's a bad guy. I never said anything to the contrary; but you never responded to anything I did say.
You take comfort in polls that demonstrate that too many Americans support Bush based on erroneous beliefs? Do you really need me to take that to its logical conclusion, that support for Bush is based on ignorance? The next step after that is to observe that Bush's popularity will drop like a stone if more people learn the truth.
Bush's approval rating is currently 61%. Subtract the 23% who think that Bush proved a link between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein, and his approval would drop to 38%. Subtract the 51% who erroneously think we've found WMD in Iraq and you get 10%. Job approval based on false pretences is a pretty shaky thing.
It's not slander to tell the truth about Bush and his Regime. If the truth drags Bush through the mud, well, that's as it should be. Truth is a necessary prerequisite for justice.
