Save it for the rubes. I have a better grasp of definitions than that.
I do not define "compassion" or "charity" as offering a victim of circumstances someone else's money, time, or property. Apparently you do, since you seem to feel my opposition to the government supplying all our health care as proof that I lack "compassion."
...since everybody can't have the same, it is up to the rest of us to see that they have what they need.
When you say "us," I assume you mean taxpayer-funded health care.
Just out of curiosity, did you or any of your friends or coworkers offer to help pay this woman's medical bills? Help her around the house? Did you offer to simply drive her to the doctor when she needed a ride? Maybe you did...I don't know. Again, just curious.
Also, have you noticed how well the "free" system she is using works? One assumes it is some government program. Could you perhaps draw a conclusion or two from that? Would you like to be forced to get health care through the same channels she is?
