Wrong again
There are still a lot of Yellow Dog Democrats in the South, like my grandfather, who wouldn't vote for a Republican for any reason. You're buying into the fantasy that the bad old racist Democrats all became Republicans. It just isn't true, but then, truth seldom matters to some people when it comes to political rhetoric. Better to repeat a proven lie than to confront a truth that contradicts Democrat dogma.
