I find it intensly amusing that some folks on this board expect Liberals to be polite and defferential at every turn, while conservatives are allowed to make snide ad-hominem remarks about character in lieu of argument.

I find it even more amusing that People like Splinx and Lindy are called to the carpet with nuclear weapons when they post unsubstantiated, disprovable viewpoints. Yet when I claim anyone elses viewpoints as unsubstantiated or disprovable, and attempt to demonstrate it, people like you go off in a huff.

How many times have I watched the right categorize the left here as a bunch of bush hating, tin-foil-hat-wearing, idiotic cowards? And you are all in a huff because I call you out when you insult me? Get real.

Grow up, in short. Your opinion is not the crowning achievement of humanity and your political positions are not unassailable, and if I come at you forcefully and test your position, and don't defer to insults- that is not my problem. If you can't stand the heat, don't debate me. Tom comes at me just as hard as I come at him. REB does too. So does Mark Eby, Todd and etc. I'll insult if insulted. People like LarryJ who went nuclear on me from post one I treat with no respect. I usually apologize if I give worse than I get (REB and Mark Eby are proof of this) Sorry if I'm not like your other liberals in that I have teeth and won't digress to 'lets all just get along' platitudes.

If this is a circle-jerk, then we can't demand proof and logical consistency in views. I don't take this to be a circle-jerk. I take plenty of shit here, Frank, and a lot of it, as late, is from you. This is fine, but just don't go off huffing and puffing because I called you on it.

I have remained mostly civil, so I will leave this post on current events. But I will mroe than oblige you if you want to go over to Flame.
