Perhaps you just meant geology (study of the Earth). The Moons surface is not mantle rock. You were asked for info on the rift you mentioned exposing mantle rock. Did you provide it? Such mantle rock may be of relevance to geology, but this was formed from a short term singular event not directly related to normal planetary evolution. It is of interest related to Earth's evolution, but questionable in determining general planetary characteristics.
