Space/Science » in reply to Sigh...

hmm

I thought you were talking about the space advocacy community being in a mess not your writing. I tried to soften the impact of my title by noting my own writing shortcomings. I think aspersions is a rather strong word for unrequested advice. The tone was perhaps too rancorous, but frankly I consider your inititial post to be rather rancorous itself. While it was unclear who your most insulting comments were aimed at, your apparant misrepresentation of Mars Society member's position suggested they were aimed at us. Doesn't make me want to attack Grondine style, but it hardly makes me feel real congenial. I really do welcome your input Ken, but I'm hardly convinced by many of your arguments. You oscillate between very good technical commentary to wild speculation without any clear reason or dilineation.

You also seem to expect that your word should be final because of your special education. While I think it gives you access to info many of us don't have there are many here with far more experience than you at applying technology and scientific principles. I Don't think anyone here deserves last word authority status. Many of us have widely divergent areas of expertise and hobbies. We have and probably can continue to learn much from each other through civil discourse and debate.

Regards,
Mark
