One of the themes in the storyline in the game is a gang war between the cubans and the haitians. There are different missions where you kill haitians, cubans, french, italians, columbians, and various gangsters of many different backgrounds. If anything the Italians are portrayed more poorly than anyone. Haitians protesting this are being way oversensitive. While I will not allow my 9 year old daughter to play this game, I agree that this is in the same category as movies and thus should not be censored.

Btw this really is an amazing game. The freedom you have is unbelievable. GTA Vice City and True Crime are both "free will" games. I used to only play strategy games like C&C and Empire, but these "free will" games really rock. I actually like True Crime better because the character you play is a cop vs a gangster.
