We are on the same page... hunting for food is fine- I wouldnt do it unless I needed to... but trophy hunting disgusts me... people that are proud that they killed a defenseless animal need a reality check... Trophy hunters usually defend it by saying that the animal is beautiful so they mount its head on the wall... Well, I think Brittany Spears is beautiful- would it be ok for me to mount her? Errr ummm...I meant would it be ok for me to put her head on the wall? ;)

As for wild turkeys the ones in oklahoma had the intelligence of a brain impared brick... on quite a few mornings I could have shot them from my window... and when you startle them and they fly through the trees- they fly THROUGH the trees... branches crashing down everywhere...
Never shot one but there is a Tom here I have been known to take shots at ;)
