Apparently you think it is the mission of the US government to save the world, one country at a time? The function of government is to use its citizens taxes money to be janitor to the world, and as you so eloguently say, pick up the crap.

Gee, and I thought we had a government of our choosing, National, State and local to serve us, not the rest of the world. I thought the functions of these layers of government were first to protect the citizens and secondly (herein the arguement on these boards) to enhance the quality of life issues that sociey presents to its citizens.

Thanks for clearing this up for me. A nation with a mission. Are we supposed to save souls also?
