re: "Dissent is Patriotic."
I'm not talking about "dissent." I'm talking about people who, for their entire political lives, have not said one damn positive thing about America. In any conflict with other nations or groups, they immediately assume that America is at fault. In a war, they hammer relentlessly at the actions of our country, and excuse or dismiss the actions of the enemy. They denigrate mainstream American cultural values and our history.
In personal relationships, criticism turns into abuse when it is unrelenting, and those who claim to love someone or something that they constantly criticize aren't very credible.
