There's a timetable in place for Iraq to become a democratic nation
Do you really think it would be FAVORABLE to abandon that process and let Iraq fall to pieces just to get american troops out now rather than in a year or two? In little over a month Iraq will be sovereign. In less than a year there will be nationwide elections for a parliment. Believe it or not America doesn't want to stay in Iraq any longer than it has to. Sure it can argued ad infinitum that we shouldn't have invaded in the first place, but it would be far worse to abandon them now before they can maintain order themselves. That you can't understand that obvious point is unfathomable to me.
