Update - social effects of Berg video

Today in an undergrad physics lab class, the students - pretty bright and capable - finished a little early. A few of them were horsing around. One student picked up a (harmless) plastic stringed bow and playfully went for the other guy, saying "I'll saw your head off with this" ..

I told him where I thought he might have picked up that idea, and he didn't argue with my suspicions.

As the English lawyer Geoffrey Robertson said after 9/11: "This event diminishes us all"
