If Israel and America had had over the past fifteen years only a moderate arsenal of conventional weapons, and the PLO, Saddam's Iraq, Iran, Syria, and Taliban Afghanistan had possessed a massive arsenal of atomic weapons and overwhelming conventional military might, what do you think would have happened? What would the world look like now?
Israel would be as big as it was until 1967 (as recognized by the UN). Saddam would still be in power.
But once a country has huge force, it should have a lot of self confidence and nobody (especially not Israel) would dare confront it. More arab countries could even be a democracies.
it all has to do with FEAR......nothiong else. Dictators reign through fear of their own people.
