An odd thing about American attitudes towards Israel is that the Israelis don't share them. It's the result of 55 years of American news censorship, anything which doesn't flatter Israel being deemed "anti-Semitic".
I've posted quotes from influential Israelis over and over in which they have claimed ethnic cleansing, for example Moshe Dayan saying about Palestinians that they will live like dogs until they decide to leave.
My Jewish friends are of two minds - some deplore the ethnic cleansing, some say it's pre-ordained by the Old Testament and therefore God's idea. But all of them acknowledge ethnic cleansing.
(Some people think that ethnic cleansing involves killing them all at once. According to them, 19th century America wasn't involved in ethnic cleansing.)
There's no sense in trying to overcome a lifetime of Israeli and fundamental Christian propaganda in these people. You can fool some of the people all the time, especially those who don't want to know.
