Lindy, probably not so lucid as just really bored. I'd certainly rather play the role of an internet smartass instead of working on the program I'm supposed to be coding here at work. I'm just constantly amazed at the passion our more conservative colleagues here have for defending George Bush. I've never felt a need to defend any politician that vigorously in my life, even if I helped them campaign. Only thing I can think is that there's such an embarassment for how he turned out that to admit they supported such a buffoon is something they simply can't face. Hell, (in my best Bill Clinton voice) I feel their pain. It was tough after Nixon imploded to admit to myself he probably wasn't the great statesman I originally thought him to be.
I just hope that when they're talking to themselves that little voice in their heads is a bit more objective than their rants on here. It certainly adds spice to the chat though.
