Larry, that's an absurd comment. No matter what you feel about Michael Moore you have to understand that the things he stands up for are compassionate in nature toward people that are oppressed or used or hurt. Certainly David Duke's political leanings don't seem to show compassion to anyone, only divisiveness and violence. Read a little about Moore's evolution to the successful film maker he is today. It certainly isn't the path one would take that was only looking for personal success, glory and power. I really believe those things came only because of his tremendous drive and ethical convictions and his ability to entertain. I doubt that David Duke has the huge talent Moore possesses to find irony in things that most of us wouldn't even notice or bring gut wrenching laughter to an auditorium full of people.

I think that's probably why he seems threatening to conservatives that don't share his political views. More than likely they sense they will fall under his congenial spell and suddenly some of his ideas may start to make sense. It hurts to laugh with someone you truly disagree with.
