oh wait, you didn't........
Instead we get a rehash of Moore-type deceits:
That "Coalition of the Wild Eyed" ad on Bush's website last week used clips clearly labeled as coming from the MoveOn.Org website. Those were the ones showing Hitler, and they were used by MoveOn to denounce Bush. The "Coalition" video used clips of Gore ranting, clips from MoveOn.Org (and clearly labeled as such), and clips of Dean and others ranting all in sequence. Go here and see ad for yourself. It's at the bottom of the page.
They only added those labels after they were caught in the first place. A certain Moore-like omission on your part there, dontcha think?
The video never said that Gore = Hitler, nor did it imply it in any way. Instead, it showed exerpts from the lunatic fringe ranting and comparing Bush to Hitler. Since when is showing what the loons on MoveOn.Org are saying a problem? Except, perhaps that it makes them look like the loons they are, and that's why the ad was so effective and why it raised such a stink - it showed Bush hatred in all it's ugliness.
Did not imply in any way.......
Gore-Hitler-Dean-Moore-Gephardt-Hilter-Gore
No implication here folks. Nothing to see. Move on.
George Soros, the billionaire behind MoveOn.Org, has compared Bush to Hitler.
the billionaire behind..... My, that is very Moore-ish isn't it? He gave em a few million and now you are implying that he is the man behind it all? Probably news to him.
Meanwhile what he actually said was “When I hear Bush say, ‘You’re either with us or against us,’ it reminds me of the Germans.â€
I guess if you get "compared Bush to Hitler" from that, while seeing nothing untoward in the Bush ad, you can just be labeled a partisan shill who can only spout what he's been spoonfed by the GOP.
Al Gore recently lashed out at "brownshirts" (people who dared to point out his lies). Who were the brownshirts?
Al Gore was as wrong in that statement as anyone who compares just about any current politician or party to Hitler.
In an ad contest, MoveOn.Org hosted several ads that directly compared Bush to Hitler. Two of them were among the 15 finalists, so they can't very well say they slipped through.
Among the 15 finalists? News to me. Got links?
Try here
After the stink was made known, they claimed to have removed the ads. Funny, one of them was found on their website just this week, only with a different name.
Ah the gospel according to Drudge, well known bastion of truth and enlightenment.
Funnily enough Moveon denies it.........
"The ad in question has not been linked on any of our web pages since December, and even then only appeared to a small group of MoveOn members who were rating ads in the MoveOn Voter Fund ad contest.
When the Bush campaign mounted its spot on June 25th, comparing John Kerry to Hitler using images from this ad, we restored the old contest ad from backup tapes to our web server for review in response to queries from journalists. This file was apparently dredged up by Drudge, but never appeared on a MoveOn web page viewed by the public. The file itself is now deleted from our web server.
So, something you can't get to from their website is now ammo against em.
Good luck with that........
