This will, of course, be the defense mode of the Democrats.
When the memos were leaked that showed that the Democrats were planning to play politics with the Intelligence Commission report, or that the Democrats were playing politics with the approvals of judges, the entire story suddenly became on how those memos got out.
I expect the same now. It's certainly better than trying to explain how a National Security Advisor seemed to have no frigging idea of how to handle classified documents.
A small note from this story:
Officials familiar with the investigation said Archive staff specially marked the documents and when the new copy and others disappeared, Archive officials called Clinton attorney Bruce Lindsey to raise concerns.
Why call him first?
Lindsey, in case you've forgotten, is the other person, besides Berger, who flanked Bill Clinton during his 9/11 Commission testimony, which the media cheerfully pretended Clinton did alone.
