While I would agree that the recession was part of a economic cycle, I believe we recovered from it much quickier as one result of tax cuts, and not taking other types of "typical responses" which can make it worst. A "natural economic cycle" can lead to market bubbles which can then result in major depressions- these can be dangerous, both domestically and internationally. I *think* we have escaped from the prospects of having a major depression. Most of the credit should be due to the Fed actions, but the Fed also thought tax cuts would help the situation.
