And precisely what war on terror are we talking about here? The war against the Chetsnian rebels, the war against the terrorist right wing death squads in Honduras, Salvador, Nicaragua? The war against the Sendenero Luminoso in Peru? Black September? The Irish Republican Army? Or, maybe the Basque Separationists?
Do we limit this to al Qaida or do we have to wipe out the whole world and let God sort them out?
$ 80 billion dollars spent on illegal drugs in the US last year should demonstrate exactly how successful the War on Drugs has been. We even appointed a Drug Czar to co-ordinate that war. Isn't that is what is being discussed on the terror war?
Apparently the entire Republican appatnichts lack understanding of (1.) War, and (2.) Terrorism.
War is political failure.
Terrorism is only effective way for the weak to attack the strong. It works as long as the strong are confused and let it work by granting it the recognition, attention, and media play that are the only reasons for its existence.
