Judaic philosophy flourished in Moorish Spain, only to be exiled, tortured, and/or forcibly converted by the Inquisition. Where did they seek refuge? Moslem countries, where they were not merely tolerated, but welcomed, and assimilated into civil administration and commerce.
Is the beauty of the Alhambra to be despised because it is Moslem?*
