Obviously false claims like that are what's driving this Independent to vote Republican this time around. I already said oil is what has mades the middle east critical in foreign policy for decades, but only to the extent to assure that the owners of it remain free to pump it in a relatively stable enviroment. Nothing has changed there and it is not what GW2 was about. It was far more an important issue in GW1.

Anyone who thinks 9/11 didn't change our tolerance of foreign threats in a big way is just plain clueless. Security is the issue not oil.
