If you've got a red phone on your desk to the Justice League of America, let the rest of us in on it.
Maybe we should have sent cops to Afghanistan, and had them walk into the terrorist compounds and arrest them. Maybe we could have used Raoul's "stun guns."
Maybe Interpol could have walked into Tora Bora and demanded that bin Laden come out with his hands up.
We could send the FBI to Fallujah and have them serve a warrant on Zarqawi. Better send a lot of them. Maybe we can get the authorities to haul the terrorists in for illegal use of weapons, or shooting fleeing children without a permit.
We are dealing with people armed, as you say, with grenade launchers, automatic weapons, high explosives, missiles, an utter lack of scruples, and a tendency to surround themselves with civilian human shields.
What do you call a cop sufficiently armed to take on such criminals in hostile territory? You call him a soldier.
What do you call a police action where bombs and machine guns and mines and artillery are involved? I think we learned the real answer to that question a long time ago.
Good God, people, grow up.
