Acting like an imperial power is not the same as pursuing justice.

We are doing a creditable job of acting out the former. With enough practice, we will eventually get it perfect.

Reagan didn't fight the USSR to a stand-still: he spent them into the ground. You remember the deficit, don't you? It was a beaut, though nothing like the one we have now.

At the bottom of my post is the idea that people can pursue justice without blowing the hell out of everything in their path. You think that's naive? Fine.
