It has stuck up for the First Amendment rights of religious minorities in the United States.

The religious majority is not happy, so they try to say their rights have been infringed. What has actually happened is that their privilege has been restricted. Accustomed privileges feel like rights to the group that enjoys them, but privileges are not the same as rights, especially when they step on the rights of other groups who lack the clout of the majority.

I understand but I don't sympathize.
