re: state ID requirements
Theoretically, identifying legitimate voters is supposed to be a state-by-state issue. I'm not at all sure where the Feds came into this in the first place. Or is this yet one more state function that's going to shrivel away as its absorbed by our Lords in Washington?
At what point do state legislatures become largely a political appendix, like a House of Lords or something? A minor league where politicians get to go to practice for "The Show" in Washington?
