This isn't getting anywhere.
The Free Lunch and central planning are part of your makeup, and I'm not going to shift your paradigm any more than I could convince a fundamentalist to believe in evolution.
All theory aside, if you can't see the obvious differences in a society that believes everyone should have a Yugo--and that society actually existed--versus our own, where the government doesn't issue cars, but even the poor have better cars than Yugos, I'm not sure what else I can say.
Seventy five percent of the poor in America own cars. 30 percent own more than one. In 1977 in Yugoslavia, only one in every 13 people owned a car. A lot of Yugos were exported.
