All I have to do to vote is walk in and sign where my name is.
I don't know what happens if someone has already signed there. It's never happened that I've seen.
The fact is, in every election there are going to be votes counted that shouldn't have been, and votes not counted that should have been. It's been that way for many years. People have always assumed that by and large the will of the people overrides this.
Some people will get worked up over illegal voters. Others over spoiled ballots or hanging chads. Getting 120 million people to reliably get their votes in usings dozens of different systems is a miracle to start with.
I've been thinking about this for a couple of days. The more I think about it, the more I think that it's a lot more important to maintain America's overall faith in an inherently fuzzy system than to try and microanalyze either votes wrongly counted, or votes wrongly not counted.
If that means a few illegal votes, fine. Maybe the other side can stop cranking about a few "disenfranchised" voters, too.
Current Events » in reply to Fine. Steal someone's mail, steal someone's vote.
Talk to the guy who wrote the rule. And a few additional thoughts...
