and the Navy gave him a Silver Star for killing that wounded VC. Since the VC Kerry shot was reportedly armed, it sounds like a justifiable shoot to me.

Wouldn't it be reasonable to give the Marine the same benefit of the doubt until the case is investigated and the facts are known? Or, is he automatically guilty until proven innocent?
