I find it interesting
That some in the region have blamed globalization as what their particular diety is upset about.
Yet,
Globalization has resulted in a world-wide response (slow in starting, yes) to help the region, from governments, companies, and individuals alike. A hundred years ago this would not have happened. Those people would have suffered their fate alone and with little or no help from the "outside".
