The Eugenics Wars have already been over for 10 years
I never quite got into watching this series like I did all the others, even DS9 with its sometimes wild schedule. I too never really accepted Bakula as captain (his acting was far from Stewart's level) and none of the characters really stood out, not even the 7 of 9 clone. I also think the creators never caught the pre-Kirk/Pike atmosphere.
Did they address the Eugenics Wars, which were supposed to take place from 1992 to 1996? In the late 1960s, the late 1990s seemed so far away then.
As we approach the 24th Century, have they basically had to put the ST universe in a parallel one from ours?
