I was astounded the last time I went to Disneyland at how mismanaged the place was. Tomorrowland was a wreck with many of the key rides no longer running. Tomorrowland was one of the things that inspired me as a child to go into aerospace. What a disappointment to see Disneyland in its current degraded state.
Disneyland was so over crowded with people that I got pushed onto someone in a wheel chair (very embarrassing). Obviously the management didn't care about a quality product and only wanted pack in customers to make more money. Next to Disneyland, they had this near useless amusement park located on the old parking lot called "California Adventure". While Disneyland was dangerously over crowded, California Adventure was almost empty.
Adding to the mismanagement of the theme parks is the balls-up of Disney's cartoon making enterprise. "Treasure Planet" (which I found entertaining) didn't measure up to Eisner's expectations so he sacked almost the entire staff including the talent behind the classic cartoons "Aladdin", "Hercules" and "The Little Mermaid". Walt Disney must be spinning like a rotisserie in his grave. Roy Disney (Walt Disney's nephew) has put up a good fight to get Eisner sacked.
