Because I think that if we have bad bosses and criminals and dopes in charge of some businesses, it's because we, the consumers, the stockholders, the workers, are not paying sufficient attention.
The bad boss will be boss of nothing if no one will work for him or her. The inept or criminal CEO will be out on the street if the stockholders will insist upon it.
But we think that it's not right to "tattle", even if people are being harmed. We think it's virtuous to suffer under a jerk because suffering is good for us.
It just makes me so mad that struggling workers and small investors get it in the neck because a few people are larcenous, a few more people have risen to the level of their incompetence, and a whole lot more people put up with the few because they don't want to take the time to care.
