A few points
First of all, the "memo" is highly questionable, but I don't expect that to keep anyone from quoting it forever.
Second, there are indeed two sides on this fight. For a lot of politicians and others on the Left, this case is all about finally jamming a knife into the guts of the conservative religious faction and the hated Bush. If you don't think so, you haven't been paying attention.
Third, before you get too smug about the Federal government running roughshod over local courts, you might want to remember Elian.
