Judge Greer is both an honorable man and competent judge. Interestingly, he is a man of deep Christian faith and a conservative Republican.

Throughout all of this he has maintain his composure and his respect for disputing parties. It is notable that virtually all of his decisions have been sustained by federal and state appellate and supreme courts. In fact, over thirty different judges have had the opportunity to second guess his rulings. While his consideration of the facts has been both objective and disapassionate, his compassion for Ms. SChiavo and her family is without question.

It was unfortunate to watch protesters, political hacks and members of Congress demonize this simple, earnest Christian man. Mr. DeLay, who never read a single piece of Greer's courtroom records in this matter, arrogantly ridiculed Judge Greer to the nation on prime time television. It was awful.

Yes, in a nation where reasonable minds can differ, we can and we should respect the sanctity of our judicial system and talented and skilled individuals its effectiveness depends upon. Its not perfect, but its the best in the world.
