Look at the hysteria, disguised as righteous outrage. How many accusations turned out to be baseless? How many of them were willing to wait for the truth before going off half-cocked?
How many of them derided the increase in government powers after 9/11, and accused people of acting under panic back then?
Note to those who accused Bush of going into Iraq before all the information was in: What new powers were you willing to give the government and the military back at the end of August when you were certain that tens of thousands were dead because of lack of massive armed forces on the scene, and it seemed that the only problem was the lack of the will to override local and state authorities?
